Terms of Service
FormatOwl is operated by 向子豪, with no registered business address. These Terms govern your use of FormatOwl, including file tools, accounts, and credit-pack purchases. By using the service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
1. The service
FormatOwl provides online tools for converting, compressing, editing, translating, and analyzing files. Features and limits may change as we maintain and improve the service. Results depend on the source file and the selected operation; we do not guarantee a particular output or uninterrupted availability.
2. Accounts and security
Keep your account credentials private and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and should notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Files and acceptable use
You must have the rights and permissions needed to upload and process your files. Do not use FormatOwl to break the law, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, distribute malware, evade safeguards, or interfere with the service. You retain your rights in your files and authorize us to process them only to provide the requested operations and keep the service secure.
4. Credits and payments
FormatOwl uses credits for file processing. Available packs are listed on our pricing page. Each purchase is a single USD payment, with no subscription, automatic renewal, or automatic top-up. Completing a purchase authorizes the total shown at checkout, including any applicable taxes displayed before payment. Waffo Pancake handles checkout and payment information. Credits are added after payment is verified.
Processing estimates and spending limits are shown before an operation and settled under the applicable billing rules. Unused reserved credits return to your balance. Credits returned after a failed task are a balance adjustment, not a refund to your payment method. Purchased credits currently have no automatic expiration date; file retention limits do not expire your credits. Credits are for FormatOwl services only and cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash, except under the refund policy below or as required by law.
5. Refund policy
When you can request a refund
- Request a full refund of an order within 7 calendar days of purchase if none of the credits from that purchase have been used.
- Verified duplicate or incorrect charges qualify for a refund of the amount charged in error.
- If you paid but did not receive your credits, contact us to investigate. If we cannot deliver them, we will refund the amount corresponding to the undelivered credits.
Purchases that are normally non-refundable
Ordinary refund requests are normally declined once a pack has been partly or fully used, or after the 7-day request window. Free, signup, and promotional credits have no cash refund value. These limits do not exclude verified billing errors, undelivered services, or refunds required by applicable law.
How to apply and what happens next
Email xlukk277167@gmail.com from your registered account email. Include your account email, order or transaction ID, purchase date, and reason for the request. Do not send full card numbers, passwords, or verification codes. We use the date we receive your request to assess the request window and aim to respond within 2 business days. We may ask for missing information to verify the purchase.
Once approved, we normally submit and process the refund through Waffo Pancake to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to post it. The credits covered by the refund will be removed from your account and cannot be spent again. If the original method cannot receive the refund, we will contact you to arrange a resolution.
This policy preserves any withdrawal, refund, or other mandatory consumer rights that apply to you. Using credits does not automatically waive those rights. Mandatory local rules take precedence where they conflict with this policy.
6. Intellectual property
FormatOwl and its software, branding, and service materials belong to FormatOwl or its licensors. These Terms grant you a limited right to use the service for its intended purpose; they do not transfer ownership.
7. Third-party services
FormatOwl may rely on storage, AI, email, and payment providers. Their services may have separate terms and privacy policies, and temporary outages or provider restrictions may affect an operation.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or limit access to protect users, investigate abuse, comply with law, or address a breach of these Terms. You may stop using the service at any time. Provisions that need to continue, including payment records, ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability, remain effective after termination.
You can request account closure through our support email. Closure does not automatically trigger a refund. If you have unused purchased credits, contact us before closing your account so we can review the balance and any refund entitlement. Suspension or closure does not remove an established refund claim or your statutory rights.
9. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available and without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. FormatOwl is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss caused by files or instructions supplied by you, or interruptions outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that applicable law does not allow us to limit.
10. Changes and contact
