Transcription settings

Audio is sent to the configured provider for recognition. Speakers in separate chunks need review. Timestamps are segment-level and can be edited.

Upload one MP3, WAV, AAC, M4A, FLAC, OGG or video file up to 1 GiB and two hours. Recognition runs on the server; a result can contain errors, especially at speaker changes or unclear boundaries.

How to use this tool

  1. Upload an audio or video file and wait for its audio track to be prepared.
  2. Choose the language and track, start transcription, then listen while checking timestamps and speaker labels.
  3. Save corrections and export TXT, DOCX, PDF, SRT or VTT after reviewing the transcript.

Settings and results

Choose a recognition language or let the service detect it, select an audio track when a video contains several, and check the estimated cost before starting. Edit words, timestamps and speaker names in the transcript workspace.

File storage and deletion

Files are uploaded and processed on the server. Originals and results are stored privately and accessed through their account or browser session; downloads use short-lived links. By default, files expire 24 hours after upload and are removed by the cleanup process. You can delete them earlier in your workspace. The current local default allowance is 20 uploaded files per 24 hours.

Common questions

Is the transcript always accurate?

No. Recognition quality depends on the recording, language, background noise and speakers. Keep the audio, listen to important passages and correct the transcript before sharing it.

How long are uploaded files kept?

Files and generated results are normally removed after 24 hours. Download exports you want to keep and delete a task earlier from your workspace when needed.
