Rules and limits for local tools and account services.

These terms cover the FormatOwl website and tools. Read them with the privacy policy before using the service. Public tools process images, documents, media, text and code in the browser. Account and paid services follow their relevant pages and checkout information.

Tools have format, size and resource limits. Results and performance depend on the file, browser and device. Keep originals and check downloaded results. Compression, conversion, OCR, background removal and reflow can change content, quality or layout. A visible PDF signature mark is not a certificate-based digital signature. Local tools do not include cloud backups.
You retain the rights you lawfully hold in your inputs and results, and are responsible for having permission to process them. Using local tools does not grant FormatOwl permission to publish, distribute or train models on your files.
Do not use the service to infringe rights, distribute malicious content, bypass access controls or interfere with the service. Do not process files you are not authorized to access or modify.
Provide accurate account information and protect your sign-in credentials. No cloud storage is included.

Pro costs $5.99/month or $49/year, renewing automatically until cancelled; Lifetime costs $149 once. New and existing accounts receive welcome trials; paid access does not consume them. See pricing for input limits.
Use account billing for supported subscription management. Contact support@formatowl.com about payments, cancellation or refunds. These terms do not limit rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
We work to improve the tools but cannot guarantee that every file will process, every result will be accurate or service will be uninterrupted. Verify outputs, especially important documents, amounts, names and recognized text.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available. Non-excludable liabilities and user rights are unaffected by limitations in these terms.

Only advanced tools use trials, at the first authorized export of a ready result. Previews, failed processing and cancelled jobs do not count. Individual downloads and ZIP from the same task count once within 24 hours; reprocessing creates a new task. Use monthly trials first, then the non-expiring welcome balance. Monthly trials reset on the first day of each UTC month, without rollover. Free tools never consume trials.
Canceling renewal keeps access through the confirmed paid period. Supported month/year changes apply at the next billing period and do not create an additional subscription. A confirmed Lifetime purchase turns off previous subscription renewal; Billing shows pending retries. Full refunds or disputes revoke only the corresponding payment entitlement. Other valid purchases remain in effect.
Lifetime means access to this product’s local tools and updates during the continued operation of FormatOwl. Future separate cloud AI, API and team services are excluded. Paid use and downloads are unlimited, while per-task size, page and device safety limits still apply.
