This tool is free without sign-up, with unlimited processing and exports within the displayed input limits.
- Free workbench. JSON formatting and validation support Free 2 MiB / Pro 32 MiB; other operations support 1 MiB. Text input is limited to 100,000 characters, so larger inputs require a file.
- JSON numbers retain precision. Preview is limited to 16,000 characters; copy and download contain the entire result. Type inference is limited to 30 levels and 10,000 values.
- JWT decoding does not verify signatures or establish trust. Cron outputs five future UTC times. Integer timestamps with up to ten digits are interpreted as seconds; longer integers as milliseconds.
- Environment output retains keys only and removes all values and comments. Review keys before sharing. No API testing or cloud file processing is included.
Privacy and local processing
This tool processes your input in your browser. Source files and text are not uploaded to a FormatOwl processing server. Advanced-tool access and trial balances are checked online using tool IDs, file types, sizes and page counts. Free tools do not require account authorization. Save the results you need before leaving or refreshing the page.
